Whoever thinks print media is dead, doesn't know squat. It's different, that's all. New industrial business to business venues in which to deliver a powerful message. Digital advertising, which may be made up of pixels is also still print to me, plus it can move, dance and sing. QR codes are here now too, where selling, educating and technology can collide in many wonderful ways.
Ah, and then there's Out of Home advertising. The Lollapalooza of ad tech. Spell out your message with a public fountain. Deliver your advertising for hair-care products by installing a subway kiosk poster showing a lovely woman who's hair blows in the wind in reaction to arriving trains, as one award-winning campaign did recently.
Print is back my friends, only different... but of course, it never truly went away.
