For more than thirty-five years, The Duncan Entertainment Group has created documentaries for release to broadcast networks, streaming services, and educational platforms around the world. We also volunteer annually to support the global not-for-profit community in service of humanitarian objectives. Using film and photography to build bridges among culturally and spiritually diverse communities is a core value behind our work.
...or we’re heading that way soon. We’ll be looking for positive stories that break down the religious and political barriers that divide our planet. Or we’ll be exploring a new culture, documenting an ecosystem in danger, or sharing stories of people living in marginalized conditions. History too? Yep, history too.
Now in its 35th year, The Duncan Entertainment Group has made documentaries and done photographic work in more than forty countries. We pride ourselves on journalistic integrity. We search out great characters past and present … and we use our work to build bridges across cultures. We like a good hotel as much as the next crew … but we’re prone to difficult locations to find stories that need telling using visual and print media.
We hope you’ll take some time to explore our work and follow our journey during the years to come. For regular updates, please follow us on social media or contact us through this website.
"Good ideas, creativity and invention transcend borders. We all want clean water, healthy food, and a secure place to lay our head at night. Most of us know how to laugh at a good joke. And as complex as life can be, sometimes solutions are as simple as this: the planet moves one step closer to peace and prosperity
every time a girl is educated and a woman empowered."
-- Chip Duncan
History. Environment. Spirituality. Music. Medicine. Biography. In both long and short form, curiosity and the love of a good story drive our filmmaking. Our work has been distributed in more than 150 countries and featured on US networks that include PBS, Discovery, HBO, Lifetime, Showtime, and TLC.
Natural light. Hand held. No computer effects. Challenging locations. Our photojournalistic approach to creating images fits old school standards associated with documentation of people, places and things.
Our team specializes in taking a project from start to finish. We work with producers, composers, sound designers, and graphic artists from around the world while emphasizing our individual talents in producing, writing, directing, shooting and editing. In addition, we’ve been a global leader in archive management for three decades with extensive experience in preservation and organization of film, video, and still photos for long term digital storage.
